Permaculture was conceived in the 1970's by Bill Mollison, an Australian ecologist and University of Tasmania professor.

He had spent many years researching how natural systems worked and was interested in how we could design agriculture to make use of our natural environment, creating a self-sustaining energy system.

There are many simple design choices you can implement in your garden to grow successful crops; save you time and money; use the resources you have available; and increase the biodiversity of your local environment.
