Electrify Everything

Thinking about going all electric in your home?

Keen for solar panels? A hot water heat pump? Or do you just want to reduce your power bills without having to swelter through summer or freeze all winter? Electrify Bayswater is a community project across the City of Bayswater, aimed at increasing awareness and action around the benefits of home electrification, powered by renewable energy. Electrify your home and transport, save money and reduce emissions, whether you're a homeowner or a renter.

Electrify Everything Loans Scheme (EELS)

We are on a mission to electrify everything as it is the fastest way to address the climate crisis while significantly reducing household energy bills. Access to finance is key to helping more Australians benefit from a solar electric home. Hence the Electrify Everything Loans Scheme. Read more about EELS.

Do it for your hip pocket

Our partner organisation, Rewiring Australia, estimate an average Australian household stands to save more than $3,000 every year by switching to all electric appliances, even more for those with solar panels and/or a battery.

Do it for your health

Switching to electric appliances avoids the health risks associated with gas, especially when used for home heating and cooking. Gas appliances fill the air with pollutants that can be harmful to health, especially children.

Do it for the planet

Over 40% of Australia's domestic emissions come from our homes. Switching to efficient electric home appliances can contribute to a significant reduction in Australia's carbon emissions.

Go electric at your pace

You don't have to make the switch in one go. When your old gas hot water system packs up or it's time to update your ageing heating/cooling system, consider the benefits of installing an electric hot water heat pump or an efficient split system powered by renewable energy from rooftop solar (maybe even a battery).

Everyone's doing it

The ACT and Victoria have banned gas connections to new builds while some Australian councils are actively encouraging household electrification.
