There's a place for you here

We provide support, encouragement and inspiration to live sustainably and protect our environment for future generations. We provide support to people who are new to environmental sustainability. This might be a first attempt at composting, draught proofing a home, or attending a weeding day in a local wetland.

At the heart of everything we do at EnviroHouse are our incredible volunteers. Over 50 regular volunteers contribute across a range of projects, bringing diverse skills, energy, and enthusiasm. From running stalls at fairs and festivals, gardening, and working in our EcoShop, to teaching children, writing newsletters, organising workshops, and coordinating community projects. We are proud of our inclusive culture — welcoming everyone without judgement and valuing the unique contributions each person brings.

Our programs also draw on the generous support of event volunteers, including community members from Bayswater and Bassendean, as well as students from Chisholm College and Durham Road School.

We're also involved in some wonderful conservation programs. Turtle Tracker volunteers patrol Eric Singleton and Baigup Wetlands each spring and summer as part of the Saving Our Snake-necked Turtle Project — and many go on to get involved in other EnviroHouse activities too.

Each year we celebrate our amazing volunteers at the EnviroHouse Community Long Table Brunch — a morning of connection, appreciation, and good company shared with friends from across our network of local environmental groups.
