Where is it all going to be recycled?

Where possible we have tried to find local options for items that can be recycled closer to home or that can't be processed by curbside recycling. Our volunteers will be dispatching items to the following:

CLAW Environmental

We are collection point for plastic items for CLAW Environmental in Welshpool. Our volunteers take around 500 litres of plastic to CLAW every fortnight. CLAW Environmental divert plastics from landfill and enable the return of recycled plastics into manufacturing.

TerraCycle

TerraCycle reuses, upcycles and recycles waste instead of incinerating or landfilling it. We collect pens and markers, oral care, and Brita water filters to send to TerraCycle though their targeted recycling programs.

Dream Lucky Metal Recycling

Metal bottle caps and lids are taken to Dream Lucky Metal Recycling in Bayswater. You can also drop off scrap metal direct to them.

ReMida

ReMida collects items that can be utilised by teachers in arts and crafts projects. We take the corks and occasional other items that can be repurposed to ReMida in North Perth.

Office Works and Give Write

Pens and markers collected at EnviroHouse are taken to Office Works stores. The Give Write Charity collects them from there. They sort out those that are useful, clean and package them for students in need.

Aussie Bread Tags for Wheelchairs

Please sort out cardboard ones from plastic. The cardboard ones can go into your compost or FOGO bin. The plastic ones are sent to South Australia for recycling into products, and funds raised are donated to purchase wheelchairs for those in need.

Our oral care recycling collection

EnviroHouse is no longer a public collection point for the Terracycle Oral Care Program. Terracycle and Colgate (who fund the program) have moved to using Dental Clinics as public collection points. The closest collection point to EnviroHouse is: Azure Dental 4/861 Beaufort Street Inglewood Azure Dental are open 9am — 5pm weekdays and 9am — 1pm on Saturdays

Other collection points can be found on the TerraCycle website.

EnviroHouse has registered interest in being reinstated as a public drop-off point should that opportunity arise.

Support Us

Our 24/7 Community Recycling Drop-Off Station at EnviroHouse relies on your support to keep running. Every year, our dedicated volunteers help divert over 25 cubic metres of waste from landfill — but it comes at a cost.

From transportation to postage, these efforts require funding. Your tax deductible donation helps cover essential expenses and keeps this vital community service going strong.
